Fair skinned individuals are most commonly affected by the skin condition known as Rosacea. Anyone who has the condition can have constant skin reddening in the central areas of the face. It can be generally viewed as a harmless plastic condition unless of course it affects the eyes. Rosacea is much more typical in women than males, even though it is often far more serious within the cases of the latter. Currently, the cause of rosacea is not yet known. However, there are plenty of theories including increased levels of the enzymes stratum corneum and peptide cathelicidin, the presence of bacterial growth in the intestinal tract, dedomex mites clogging oil glands, and genetics.

The major characteristic of rosacea is the facial redness caused by flushing within the central areas of the face, particularly in the cheek, nose, forehead, and chin though it may also impact the ears, chest, scalp, and neck. Following repeated incidence of flushing, the blushing may worsen into a permanent state. Some will mistake it for windburn or sunburn.

As the situation worsens, puffiness and hot feelings may be felt by the man or woman impacted. Also, pustules and papules may appear. Because of this, some mistake this issue as adult acne though in rosacea, you can find no comedones (blackheads and whiteheads). Also, the blood vessel may dilate and produce visible red lines named telangiectasia inside inflamed skin.

Throughout the severe stage of this condition, the affected person may experience extreme episodes of facial flushing, serious skin inflammation, facial discomfort, creation of cysts and delibitating burning sensations. For guys with the problem, rhinophyma also takes place where the sebaceous glands on the tip from the nose hypertrophies and thickens, generating an inflamed, bulbous nose.

Occasionally the eye can also be involved in this particular problem which is called ocular rosacea. The symptoms include watering and blood shot eyes, itching, visible blood lines, heightened sensitivity to light, blurred vision, dryness, irregular eyelid margin, conjuctiva inflammation, and a burning sensation.
