EarthSearch Communications Unveils 3D Geo Fencing Focused On Theft Detection, The Next Wave In Location Based Solution Technology

ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) September 30, 2004

Even equipped with the top GPS tracking devices on the market today, a vehicle can be stolen, stripped by the local chop shop; have its contents pilfered or tampered with, as long as it remains within the 1-mile radius that goes undetected by standard Geo Fencing. But now, 3D Geo Fencing offered by EarthSearch Communications (ESC) will detect unauthorized movement of the vehicle within just 10 feet in any direction?up, down, sideways forward or backwards. ESC will begin offering 3D Geo Fencing in the US and South America by November 1, on its proprietary device AutoSearch and be made available to all of its OEM partners.

In a time when theft, terrorism, and high alerts are commonplace, 3D Geo Fencing offers the most advanced auto theft notification and recovery product on the market today. When a vehicle is accessed illegally, the alarm immediately notifies the vehicle owner or fleet manager via PDA, computer or telephone within the first 10 feet of unauthorized movement.

Geo fence technology is not new, but the 3D capability offered by EarthSearch is the next wave in its evolution. Geo fencing creates an electronic fence that surrounds your vehicle and alerts you if the automobile moves outside of a specified area. In the past, the fencing area range about 1 mile or more from its secured location? not much help if the auto was stolen, driven around the corner and compromised.

Now, 3D Geo Fencing, enhanced with a highly advanced motion detection technology, provides added security through EarthSearch. It will be offered for both commercial and personal use by ESC, whose product line (scheduled to launch fall 2004), includes AutoSearch, Fleet Management Solutions, EarthNav, AssetSearch, and PeopleSearch.

?3D Geo Fencing is a great enhancement to our product line and breakthrough technology for our industry. It?s Geo Fence on steroids, and we are very excited that EarthSearch will be the first company globally to offer it,? exclaimed ESC Chairman/CEO Kayode Aladesuyi. The dynamic growth of this industry fuels our passion to become the global leader in GPS Tracking technology,? he said.

ESC is a privately held company based in Atlanta, GA, with fleet management and PR divisions in the US, Curitiba and Sao Paulo, Brazil; a market development office for its UK operation, and EarthSearch Technologies, a research & development office in New York City, which is currently developing proprietary software products that facilitate location-based billing solutions. ESC is scheduled to launch this fall 2004. The company will offer the most advanced application of Location Based Solution technology on the market, for Mobile Asset and Fleet Management operation.
