Mobile operator MTS India has opted to exclude the iPhone from its line-up and is instead offering smartphones from China and India to customers, reports the Wall Street Journal. Dmitry Shukov, CEO of MTS' holding company Sistema Shyam Teleservices, told the Wall Street Journal that the company decided not to carry the iPhone because Apple sets a floor for unit sales and it's more challenging to sell the smartphone on a CDMA network, as MTS operates. Sistema has decided to order smartphones from ZTE and other Chinese manufacturers, as well as Indian companies Micromax Informatics and Karbonn Mobiles, added Shukov.
