Your Support is Needed for Kirkland?s Many Community Events | LETTER

June 14, 2011

Dear Friend of Kirkland,

Greetings from Celebrate Kirkland!

Putting on events in Kirkland is not a thankless task.? As a matter of fact, ask any of us who pull together events like the 4th of July, Music in the Park, the Kirkland Wednesday Market or the Christmas tree lighting just how grateful people are.? The positive response is powerful. WE ALL LOVE THESE CLASSIC COMMUNITY EVENTS! They help make Kirkland the city in which we love to live, work and play.

However, as you know, none of these events come for free.

This is my annual request for your financial support for Kirkland?s 4th of July.? I am late this year because we have changed our campaign from a fundraiser for just the Fourth to one that supports all of the events we do downtown.? GIVE A LITTLE, GET A LOT!? Our intention is to ask you for money only once a year and still provide the fabulous events that we have all come to love.? Usually I ask you for $100.? This year I am asking if you can find $200 for this broader effort.? As always, we are grateful for anything you can contribute.

Remember that there is no public funding for ANY of our events.? We are entirely dependent on sponsorships and donations.? Sponsorships are very difficult as we just begin to climb out of this recession.? So it really comes down to each of us.

Please consider sending us a tax deductible donation today by following this link:?http://www.kirklanddowntown.org/

Thank you so very much for everything you do to support our community.

Sincerely,

Penny Sweet, Celebrate Kirkland, Inc.
