Microsoft warned on Monday that their Xbox LIVE service is currently down for some users.
The software giant issued a service alert on Monday warning of potential problems signing into the Xbox LIVE service on consoles, PCs and from Xbox.com. ?We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience,? said a Microsoft spokesperson, confirming the issues. Microsoft?s?Larry Hryb (@majornelson) took to Twitter to confirm the problems too. ?Yup, Xbox LIVE has a little case of the Monday blues. If you can?t sign in, we are aware of it and working as quickly as possible to resolve,? said Hryb.
Xbox LIVE users experienced an outage affecting Microsoft?s online services on September 21. The outage prevented users from creating new accounts or recovering existing ones on different consoles. Microsoft?s latest outage comes after a significant problem with the company?s online services on September 8. A?corrupted DNS configuration on September 8 led to a mass outage of Hotmail, SkyDrive, Office 365 and MSN. The problems prevented a large number of people from accessing their Hotmail email messages for around three hours on September 8.
Microsoft recommends that Xbox LIVE users follow @xboxsupport or support.xbox.com for the latest news on the ongoing outage.
